54 <br />Abigaile Pittman stated that the recommendation staff has is that, in accordance with the County’s Advisory Board 55 <br />Policies, they form an OUTBoard subcommittee with members that are interested in serving. She further explained 56 <br />that work would start as soon as the subcommittee is created. 57 <br />58 <br />MOTION by Art Menius that a subcommittee for implementation of the Bicycle Safety Task Force Report be formed 59 <br />with the OUTBoard and OUTBoard Chair being able to appoint members. Seconded by Alyson West. 60 <br />61 <br />DISCUSSION: 62 <br />63 <br />Heidi Perry explained that she is hesitant to vote because they had such an active group of people with the Bicycle 64 <br />Safety Task Force and she thinks that some of them would want to be included in this committee. 65 <br />66 <br />Abigaile Pittman explained that although they would not be able to vote as an appointed subcommittee member, they 67 <br />could be invited to attend as private citizens when their input was needed on various issues. 68 <br />69 <br />Alex Castro asked if the subcommittee could not be similar to the task force in regards to its membership. 70 <br />71 <br />Abigaile Pittman explained that if they were to do that then they would have to go through the previous process all 72 <br />over again. 73 <br />74 <br />Heidi Perry asked the OUTBoard who would be interested in serving on the new subcommittee. 75 <br />76 <br />Alyson West and Art Menius both indicated they would be interested. 77 <br />78 <br />Abigaile Pittman stated that whe would send out a follow-up email to see if other OUTBoard members not in 79 <br />attendance might be interested in serving on the subcommittee. She explained that they still have a lot of work to do 80 <br />since they were just recently presented the County approved budget for the sub-committee.
