Follow-up related to the resolution <br />regarding SRTS next steps will come from the County Manager. The County Manager <br />is generally very supportive of the SRTS next step actions that were conveyed in the <br />OUTBoard’s resolution. Initial steps for staff are to include pursuit of a sidewalk <br />maintenance agreement among OC, Hillsborough and NCDOT. NCDOT is also actively <br />looking for funds for safety (fencing) improvements on the bridge and will continue <br />coordination with OC staff. <br /> <br />Transportation Planning staff is working with NCDOT on a bigger highway improvement <br />concept that would involve 3-lane cross section on Orange Grove from Oakdale to New <br />Grady Brown School Rd, new bridge and bike/ped elements.
