Item 7.a. <br />Orange County & NCDOT Highway Luncheon Meeting Notes <br />Division 7 and District 1 <br />March 29, 2017 12:00 p.m. <br />  <br />  <br />Recently Completed - Gordon Thomas Drive (Pascal Drive) was completed <br />March 2017; Greenbriar Drive is anticipated to be completed March 2017. <br />Under Construction - Byrdsville Road, anticipated Completion Dec. 2017. <br /> <br />Small Construction and Spot Safety: <br />Recently Completed - Radius and sight line improvements Cole Mill Road at <br />Pleasant Green Road were completed in October 2016; installation of a traffic <br />signal at NC 54/Dodson X-Road was completed in late 2016 <br />Under Construction - Drainage improvements to South Greensboro Street at <br />NC 54 in Carrboro are scheduled for completion May 2017; and installation of <br />traffic signal at US 70 and Buckhorn Road is scheduled for completion in <br />June 2017. <br />Future Projects - Improve curve alignment at Efland Cedar Grove Road north <br />of Highland Farm Road, construction is scheduled to begin in March 2018 <br />and anticipated completion is October 2018 (coordination with Town of <br />Hillsborough Reservoir expansion). <br /> <br />b) Resurfacing and Bridge Replacements (Chuck Edwards, NCDOT) <br /> <br />Resurfacing: <br />DG00299- Resurface 22 sections of secondary roads (incl. Erwin Road and <br />various subdivision streets) - Scheduled for Completion in November 2017. <br />DG00319- Widen and resurface St. Mary’s Road and Schley Road- <br />scheduled for completion in November 2017. <br />DG00331- Resurface 17 sections of secondary roads and widen and <br />Resurface 4 sections of Secondary Roads (incl. Hurdle Mills Road, McDade <br />Store Road, Orange Clover- Garden Road and Mattress Factory Road)- <br />Scheduled for completion in November 2017. <br />*Three year resurfacing program will be distributed to Orange County and <br />other local stakeholders for comment in April 2017 <br /> <br />Bridge Replacements: <br /> <br />Recently Completed <br />Hawkins Rd – Completed <br />6/24/16 <br />Borland Rd – Completed <br />8/15/16 <br />Compton Rd – Completed <br />5/7/16 <br />Mebane-Oaks Rd – <br />Completed 7/27/16 <br />St. Mary’s Rd – Completed <br />4/15/16 <br />New Hope Church Rd – <br />Completed 9/1/16 <br /> <br />Bridge Replacements Under Construction <br />Gray Rd – Scheduled for <br />completion May 2017 <br />St. Mary’s Road- Scheduled <br />for completion June 2017 <br /> 48
