NCDOT Update <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Nishith Trivedi, Transportation Planner, <br />245-2582 <br />PURPOSE: <br />Receive an update on MPO/RPO and NCDOT activities from Orange County Transportation <br />Planning staff. <br />BACKGROUND:Planning and funding Orange County transportation projects is done through: <br />x Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization(DCHC MPO) <br />x Burlington Graham Metropolitan Planning Organization (BG MPO) <br />x Triangle Area Rural Planning Organization (TARPO) <br />x North Carolina Department of Transportation(NCDOT) <br />Transportation planning staff will provide monthly updates on MPO and RPO activities in an <br />effort to keep the Orange Unified Transportation Board (OUTBoard) informedon regional <br />transportation plans and projects. This update will include project status informationprovided by <br />NCDOT at the MPO and RPO meetings. <br />DCHC MPO: <br />x SPOT 5.0 Local Input Point process reviewed and approved by NCDOT. <br />TARPO <br />x SPOT 5.0 Local Input Point process reviewed and approved by NCDOT. <br />x Draft FY19 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is released for public comments. <br />BG MPO: <br />x SPOT 5.0 Local Input Point processis being redrafted for its March meeting. <br />x Draft FY19 UPWP release for public review in March. <br />NCDOT <br />x See attached project status sheets provided by NCDOT (Attachment 1) <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT:There is no immediate financial impact associated with this item. <br />51
