<br /> <br />Chapel <br />Hill/Carrboro <br />City Schools <br />Board of <br />Education <br /> <br />Access <br />At the August 13, 2015 meeting, the Board <br />approved an ​“Emergency Epinephrine <br />Auto-Injector” policy​. This is related to the <br />resolution that the BOH passed in August 2014​ to <br />support an NC Board of Pharmacy rule change <br />that would allow school personnel to receive the <br />prescription and training from their local public <br />health department. <br /> <br />At the September 17, 2015 meeting the Board <br />approved a new policy related to food and <br />nutrition - ​Policy 6230 “School Meal and <br />Competitive Food Standards.​” The policy aligns <br />standards for food sold during the day and <br />outside school hours on school grounds with <br />federal Smart Snacks guidelines. <br /> <br />The Board also received their ​2014 Accountability <br />Report​. <br /> <br /> <br />Board of County <br />Commissioners <br /> <br />Access <br /> <br />At their September 10, 2015 meeting, the BOCC <br />continued a discussion on their interest in putting <br />a bond referendum on the November 2016 ballot. <br />The referendum is expected to include significant <br />funds for the school systems, as well as affordable <br />housing. <br /> <br />Chapel Hill <br />Town <br />Council <br /> <br />Obesity, <br />Access <br /> <br />During June, the Board approved performance <br />agreements with human service agencies as <br />recommended by the Human Services Advisory <br />Board. <br /> <br />Orange <br />Unified <br />Transportatio <br />n Board <br />(OUTBoard) <br /> <br />Obesity, <br />Access <br /> <br />Staff from OCHD continue to attend quarterly <br />meetings of the Transportation Advisory Board <br />(TAB) when it is part of joint meetings with the <br />OUTBoard. <br /> <br />2
