<br />Quarterly Report <br />Board of Health Engagement <br />BOARD BOH <br />BOARD <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />Orange <br />County <br />Schools <br />Board of <br />Education <br /> <br />Obesity, <br />Access <br /> <br />At the July 13, 2015 meeting, ​Dr. Deborah <br />Piscatelli​ was elected chair of the Board. <br /> <br />At the August 10, 2015 meeting, Child Nutrition <br />Services Director Valerie Greene presented the <br />nutrition supplier bids for approval by the board​. <br />By law, the bids must be done publicly and the <br />recommendation to the Board was to approve the <br />low bidders. <br /> <br />At the August 24, 2015 meeting, the Board <br />received a ​report​ on summer programs run <br />through Orange County Schools. This included <br />the FSA’s Kindergarten Readiness program at <br />New Hope Elementary, which received positive <br />teacher and parent feedback. <br /> <br />Also, Sherita Cobb was introduced as the new <br />Student Support Director. She will serve as one <br />of the district’s primary contacts for OCHD <br />programs like TRU clubs, YRBS survey <br />administration, and FSA. <br /> <br />At the September 14, 2015 meeting, the Board <br />received a report on the Family Success Alliance <br />from Meredith Stewart. <br /> <br />At this same meeting, the Board also received the <br />2014-2015 Orange County School Achievement <br />Report and Performance Scores. <br /> <br />1
