Asthma is one of the leading <br />causes of school absenteeism, and controlling asthma may be an important public health contribution to <br />helping children be present in school and be healthy enough to learn. <br /> <br />This presentation will provide a brief overview of key components in asthma control and management, <br />describe the Healthy Homes approach and how it is implemented in other NC communities, and discuss <br />considerations in exploring a similar intervention in Orange County. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommended Action: ___Approve <br /> ___Approve & forward to Board of Commissioners for action <br />___Approve & forward to ___________________________ <br /> _X_Accept as information <br /> ___Revise & schedule for future action <br />___Other (detail): <br /> <br />
