Orange County Community Health Assessment - Executive Summary | 5 <br />Current Focus Areas <br />The results from the five community forums were brought to the Healthy Carolinians of Orange County Annual <br />Meeting in September 2011. Participants attending the Annual Meeting were asked to identify the “Top Five” <br />issues on the basis of their importance and changeability. These health priorities, as determined by Annual <br />Meeting participants to be of greatest concern to the Orange County community, were: <br />1. Access to health care, insurance, and information <br />2. Chronic disease, exercise, and nutrition <br />3. Mental health <br />4. Substance use <br />5. Injury <br />Participant votes mirrored those from the community forums indicating strong consistency between <br />community members and agency providers about the most important health issues facing Orange County. <br />Selected Priorities <br />Voting for Priorities at Community Forum
