Survey collection dates are listed here, <br />along with the registration form to participate. <br /> <br /> <br />Family <br />Success <br />Alliance <br /> <br />Access <br /> <br />The Family Success Alliance completed the gap analysis <br />in Zones 4 and 6 in April 2015. Community priorities <br />were: <br /> Zone 4 – Access to Childcare/Pre-K, <br />Transportation, Support for Latino Families <br /> Zone 6 – Parenting support, Literacy, Affordable <br />Housing, Childcare/Pre-K, and Support for <br />Families <br /> <br />The FSA Council subsequently requested $90,000 from <br />the Social Justice Fund to address some of these <br />priorities. The interventions include: <br />1) A 4-week kindergarten prep program for kids who <br />have not attended kindergarten or are otherwise <br />at risk of starting or falling behind. Programs will <br />run at New Hope Elementary, Frank Porter <br />Graham Elementary, and Carrboro Elementary <br />for a maximum of 90 children total. <br />2) Parental literacy classes offered to parents of <br />children in kindergarten prep program that will <br />begin during program and carry-on throughout <br />fall 2015. <br />3) Piloting of 1 FTE navigator position in each zone <br />to help with community outreach and connecting <br />families with existing zone resources. <br />
