New Provisions for <br />Pharmacists <br />EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2017 <br />Pharmacists must input controlled substance <br />prescriptions into the North Carolina Controlled <br />Substances Reporting System (NCCSRS) by the close <br />of business day. (Previously three days) <br />Pharmacist can also call provider if they feel a <br />prescription may be fraudulent or if a patient is <br />misusing opioid. <br />
