This is the same company OCHD is using. <br />• The Board approved FSA conducting a Kindergarten readiness <br />program at New Hope Elementary <br />• Grant approvals include: <br />o Voya Unsung Heroes Grant to expand Action-Based <br />learning kinesthetically in classroom <br />• Youth Tobacco Use Prevention Program was approved to work <br />with OCHD on tobacco cessation for youth <br />• Orange County Rape Crisis Center Safe Touch Program <br />approved to provide students with safety curriculum topics by <br />grade level <br />• Juvenile Court/School Liaison approved to provide a liaison the <br />for school year <br />• The Board approved for Duke University College Advising <br />Corps to insert an advisor at Orange County High School <br />• The Board approved a revision of the dress code in August <br /> <br /> <br />Chapel <br />Hill/Carrboro <br />City Schools <br />Board of <br />Education <br /> <br />Social <br />Determinants of <br />Health; Substance <br />Abuse & Mental <br />Health <br /> <br />• CHCCS has seen an increase in sexual violence in schools and <br />will be taking appropriate steps to education students <br />• The Board revised the Policy Against Discrimination, <br />Harassment, and Bullying to prevent further learning disruption <br />as a result of flags and other symbols of racism
