WHY DOES THIS MATTER TO PUBLIC HEALTH? <br />CLINICAL SERVICES & COST SETTLEMENT: <br /> <br />•Billing and accountability for services today is tied to one entity (the State) <br /> <br />•Under Managed Care, there will be 3 statewide MCO’s and up to 12 <br />Provider-Led Entities (PLE’s) in 6 regions – additional administrative <br />burdens for local health departments <br /> <br />•Future payment models will likely include a blend of contracted fee for <br />service arrangements and/or additional per member per month programs
