Senate Bill 16 <br />•Formerly H374 (Business Freedom Act) <br />•Improvement Permit is the soil/site approval for a septic <br />system. Permit is valid 5 years from the date of issuance. <br />Commonly called “perc test” <br />•Wastewater Construction Authorization is the permit used <br />to install the system. This permit is required to get a <br />Building permit. Permit is valid as long as the associated <br />Improvement Permit is valid. Commonly called “Septic <br />permit” <br />•Operation Permit is the “Approval” of the septic system <br />installation <br />
