WRAL.com <br /> <br />Recommended by <br />LOCAL NEWS <br />Wake, Orange counties ranked top two healthiest in NC <br />Posted 12:01 a.m. today <br /> <br />RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake and Orange counties were named the healthiest in North <br />Carolina in an annual ranking of every county in the nation. <br /> <br />The County Health Rankings report, published by the University of Wisconsin and <br />Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, ranks counties to help identify problems and ways to <br />improvement local health. The report accounts for high school graduation rates, access <br />to healthy food, smoking rates, obesity and teen birth rates, among others. <br /> <br />The report ranked all 100 North Carolina counties in two categories: health outcomes <br />and health factors. <br /> <br />Health outcomes rankings are based on resident's length and quality of life.
