Boards and Commissions - Commissioner Assignments <br />The Board considered approving the list of boards and commissions, on which <br />members of the Board of County Commissioners have chosen to serve. <br />Commissioner Jacobs said when the Board picked its boards and commissions last <br />month he said he would stay on GoTriangle, if no one else wanted it. He said Commissioner <br />Marcoplos has asked to serve on this board when Commissioner Jacobs is no longer doing so. <br />Commissioner Jacobs suggested that this appointment start now. <br />Commissioner Jacobs said he felt like he had a certain role that he was filling for the <br />Board: to corral something with which the Board was having difficulty. He said he is not sure <br />he has succeeded, and he suggested letting Commissioner Marcoplos become the GoTriangle <br />representative now. <br />Commissioner Marcoplos said he would like to do this. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Burroughs <br />to approve the suggested substitution to GoTriangle Board of Trustees. <br /> <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> <br />Commissioner Price said she would volunteer to be the alternate for the Upper Neuse <br />River Basin Association (UNRBA). <br />
