The current Dashboard tool builds on the affordable <br />housing data reported to the Town Council through our Affordable Housing Quarterly <br />Report. The Town continues to build the Dashboard to include further affordable <br />housing information and increase the community’s knowledge and ability to explore <br />the Town’s affordable housing work. <br /> <br />Staff will provide any other information at the meeting, and the governing boards can <br />discuss issues related to this item as necessary. <br /> <br />No Attachments <br /> <br /> <br />b) Town’s Affordable Housing Bond Referendum <br /> <br />In support of the Chapel Hill 2020 theme of creating a place for everyone, on <br />February 21, 2018 the Town Council adopted a framework to develop and preserve <br />affordable housing opportunities in Chapel Hill. Staff also developed annual and five- <br />year targets for development and preservation of affordable housing. The Council <br />also reviewed an investment plan that identifies General Obligation (G.O.) bonds as <br />the most effective and efficient funding source to support the investment plan. The <br />proposed referendum, for up to $10.0 million of Affordable Housing Bonds, would be <br />scheduled for November 6, 2018. The amount of the proposed referendum is based, <br />in part, on the target number of affordable housing units and the average subsidy per <br />unit. On March 21, the Council is scheduled to consider a preliminary resolution to <br />pursue a bond referendum in November. <br /> <br />Staff will provide any other information at the meeting, and the governing boards can <br />discuss issues related to this item as necessary. <br /> <br />No Attachments <br /> <br /> <br />c) Town Homestead Road Project <br /> <br />The Town has engaged a design firm to create a concept plan for development of a <br />Town-owned site located at 2200 Homestead Road site. Town staff has met with <br />potential community partners and held two public meetings.
