DocuSign Envelope ID: B49FB256 -4ADF- 4759- AF63- 134AD44FC239 <br />5thWall Building Diagnostics Consultants <br />DIVISION 1 <br />GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />SECTION 010100 <br />SUMMARY OF WORK <br />PART GENERAL <br />1.01 Related Documents: <br />Slate Roof Replacement <br />Orange County Skills Development Center <br />Chapel Hill, NC <br />August 2017 <br />Drawings and general provisions of the contract including General, Supplemental, and Special <br />Conditions and other Division 1- specification sections apply to work of this section. <br />1.02 Work Covered by Contract Documents: <br />Work under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for <br />replacement of slate roof sectors of the Orange County Skills Development Center, 503 West <br />Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27511. <br />The work will include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: <br />A. Removing and disposing of existing slate to include underlayment and all related flashing <br />and accessories down to the existing deck. <br />B. Inspection of existing deck; damaged areas to be repaired or replaced. <br />C. Furnishing and installing new self - adhering membrane underlayment. <br />D. Furnishing and installing new slate roofing. <br />E. Furnishing and installing new sheet metal flashings and accessories to include but not <br />necessarily limited to gutter, downspout, step flashing, edge flashing, counterflashing, <br />and miscellaneous trim. <br />1.03 Contract Method: <br />Construct the work based on the lump sums and unit prices provided. <br />1.04 Work Sequence: <br />A Work shall proceed in a continuous and orderly manner. Phased construction is <br />unacceptable. <br />B The Contractor shall strive to minimize disruption to building operations and occupancy <br />during window replacement activities. <br />1.05 Permits <br />A. Apply for, secure, and pay for all permits, governmental fees and licenses necessary for the <br />proper execution and completion of the Work which are applicable at the time that Bids are <br />received. <br />17 -198 Summary of Work <br />010100.1 <br />
