Remove masking tape immediately after joints have been tooled. <br />B. Keep adjacent surfaces clean and free from sealant as the installation progresses. Use <br />solvent or cleaning agent as recommended by the sealant manufacturer. <br />C. Do not allow uncured sealants to contact surfaces adjacent to the joints, or any other non - <br />joint surfaces. If uncured sealants are introduced to prohibited areas, sealant shall be <br />removed as follows: <br />Non - porous Surfaces - Immediately remove all excess sealant adjacent to the <br />joint and elsewhere by using xylol, tolvol or methyl ethel ketone while sealant is <br />still in uncured state. <br />2. Porous Surfaces - Allow sealant to develop initial cure, then remove by abrasion <br />or other mechanical means.
