Lead: 3 -lb per square foot conforming to the requirements of ASTM 1329 -55. Color <br />shall be natural gray. <br />B. Clamps: Shall be stainless steel, Type 316 <br />C. Fasteners: Shall be type and size as required by construction. Shall meet ASTM A153; <br />connectors shall meet ASTM A653 Class G185 <br />1 For concealed fastening into wood, use stainless steel, ring -shank nails 1 3/4 <br />inches by 11 gauge. <br />2 For exposed fastening into wood, use stainless steel screws with integral <br />neoprene washers. <br />3 For fastening into concrete, use masonry /concrete anchors with neoprene <br />washers. Use all metal stainless steel anchors only, no plastic or nylon anchors <br />allowed. <br />D. Pop Rivets: Shall be 1/8 inch to 3/16 inch diameter with solid copper mandrels and <br />washers. <br />E. Solder: Shall be 50/50 tin -lead alloy and conforming to ASTM 1332. Use 60/40 tin lead <br />alloy with lead coated copper. <br />F. Flux: Shall be non -acid, non - corrosive specifically designed for use with 50150 solder. <br />G. Screws: Shall be 300 series stainless steel self - drilling, self - tapping, No. 10 pan head <br />minimum 1 1/4 inches long, with neoprene washers. <br />H. Sealant: Shall be as specified in Section 079200, Sealants and Caulking. <br />I. Paper gutter liner: Shall be rosin paper. <br />2.03 Fabrication <br />A. In addition to complying with all pertinent codes and regulations, comply with all <br />pertinent recommendations as noted in the "Architectural Sheet Metal Manual ", 7th <br />edition, 2012, as published by the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National <br />Association, Inc. (SMACNA). <br />B. Fabricate and install sheet metal sections in 10 -foot lengths except where shorter lengths <br />are required by construction. <br />C. Flanges of metal flashing to be incorporated into the roof system shall be a minimum of <br />four inches in width. Provide pre - drilled holes at three inches o.c. staggered for insertion <br />of nails. Holes shall be located one inch from the leading edge of the flange; second row <br />to be one inch from the first. <br />17 -198 Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim <br />076200 -3 <br />
