All flammable materials must be stored in an approved container or storage facility and must <br />have lids in place while not in use. Flammable materials must be stored in accordance with <br />the Owner's requirements. All open containers shall be removed from the site daily. <br />2.08 Vehicular Access <br />A. Location of vehicle access shall be as designated by Owner. If necessary, extend and <br />relocate vehicle access as Work progress requires; provide detours as necessary for <br />unimpeded traffic flow. <br />B. Construct temporary bridges and culverts to span low areas and allow unimpeded <br />drainage. <br />C. Provide unimpeded access for emergency vehicles. Maintain 20 feet wide driveways <br />with turning space between and around combustible materials. <br />D. Provide and maintain access to fire hydrants and control valves free of obstructions. <br />2.09 Parking <br />A. Contractor's construction vehicles shall enter the project site and park in areas as directed by <br />the Owner. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordination of traffic by its <br />subcontractors, suppliers, etc., so as not to disrupt ongoing operations of the Owner. If on <br />site parking is not sufficient, the Contractor shall make arrangements for off site parking. <br />B. Maintain traffic and parking areas in sound condition free of construction equipment, <br />products, mud, snow, and ice. Maintain existing paved areas used for construction; <br />promptly repair breaks, potholes, low areas, standing water, and other deficiencies, to <br />maintain paving and drainage in original, or specified, condition. <br />C. Remove temporary materials and construction at Substantial Completion. Repair existing <br />facilities damaged by use, to original condition. <br />D. Provide means of removing mud from vehicle wheels before entering street <br />2.10 Field Office <br />The Contractor may provide a Field Office. The location shall be subject to the approval of the <br />Owner. <br />2.11 Plans, Specifications and Submittals <br />Electronic copies of plans and specifications will be made available to the Contractor without cost. <br />Additional copies may be acquired upon request. Hard copies shall be the responsibility of the <br />Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining at least one current set of plans, <br />specifications, reviewed submittals, and record drawings at the project site for the duration of <br />construction. <br />17 -198 Temporary Facilities and Controls <br />015000.4 <br />
