Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, criminal and traffic laws, and department policies and <br />procedures. <br />Knowledge of the boundaries and geography of the county. <br />Knowledge of procedures for logging and docketing warrants and civil papers. <br />Knowledge of first-aid and CPR techniques. <br />Knowledge of the criminal justice system and court procedures. <br />Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, including modern office technology. <br />Skill in the use of firearms, intoximeters, communications equipment, photographic equipment, and other <br />standard and specialized equipment. <br />Skill in gathering information and preparing reports. <br />Skill in interpersonal relations. <br />Skill in oral and written communication. <br />Minimum Qualifications <br />Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma. Must have <br />successfully completed required law enforcement courses and possess required law enforcement <br />certifications. Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license.
