Boards and Commissions - Commissioner Assignments 12 <br />The Board considered approving the list of boards and commissions, on which members 13 <br />of the Board of County Commissioners have chosen to serve. 14 <br />Commissioner Jacobs said when the Board picked its boards and commissions last 15 <br />month he said he would stay on GoTriangle, if no one else wanted it. He said Commissioner 16 <br />Marcoplos has asked to serve on this board when Commissioner Jacobs is no longer doing so. 17 <br />Commissioner Jacobs suggested that this appointment start now. 18 <br />Commissioner Jacobs said he felt like he had a certain role that he was filling for the 19 <br />Board: to corral something with which the Board was having difficulty. He said he is not sure 20 <br />he has succeeded, and he suggested letting Commissioner Marcoplos become the GoTriangle 21 <br />representative now. 22 <br />Commissioner Marcoplos said he would like to do this. 23 <br /> 24 <br />A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Burroughs to 25 <br />approve the suggested substitution to GoTriangle Board of Trustees. 26 <br /> 27 <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS 28 <br /> 29 <br />Commissioner Price said she would volunteer to be the alternate for the Upper Neuse 30 <br />River Basin Association (UNRBA). 31 <br /> 32 <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to 33 <br />approve this. 34 <br /> 35 <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS 36 <br /> 37 <br />a. Minutes 38 <br />The Board approved the minutes from February 6, 15 and 20, 2018 as submitted by the Clerk 39 <br />to the Board. 40 <br />b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds 41 <br />The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor vehicle 42 <br />property tax values for four taxpayers with a total of seven bills that will result in a reduction of 43 <br />revenue, in accordance with the North Carolina General Statutes. 44 <br />c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds 45 <br />The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax 46 <br />values for three taxpayers with a total of three bills that will result in a reduction of revenue, in 47 <br />accordance with North Carolina General Statute 105-381. 48 <br />d. Approval of an Additional Automotive Mechanic Position 49
