Staff Comment. This review and recommendation will begin at the March 7, <br />2018 Planning Board meeting. <br />• Third Action – The BOCC reviews and takes action on the Preliminary Plat <br />application and proposed revisions. <br />Staff Comment. The review and decision to approve or deny the proposed road <br />extension and Preliminary Plan is scheduled for the April 3, 2018 BOCC regular <br />meeting. <br />• Fourth Action – Once all construction activities have been completed, or <br />appropriate bonds have been approved, staff will sign off and allow the recordation <br />of a Final Plat allowing for the individual lots to be recorded. <br /> <br />Proposal: The petitioner has submitted a request to the approve a Major Subdivision Preliminary <br />Plat application package (called Morgan Ridge). All the proposed single-family lots and most of the <br />common open space for this development is located within Chatham County. <br /> <br />The development proposes to: <br />1. Dedicate public right-of-way and build a NCDOT maintained public street (tentatively called <br />Morgan Ridge Way) across the Chatham-Orange County line to connect to Jones Ferry Road <br />(SR 1942); <br />2. Designate 0.45 acres of common open space within Orange County’s jurisdiction that would <br />be included with 0.11 acres within Chatham County, which would be held by a subdivision <br />HOA; and <br />3.
