Local Government Review: <br />Staff have coordinated with the Town of Hillsborough’s staff on the two related <br />items and the Town will formally adopt the amendment to the Joint Land Use <br />Plan. <br />December 21, 2017 – Town of Hillsborough Planning Board schedules Public <br />Hearing. <br />January 18, 2018 (Postponed inclement weather) – Town of Hillsborough Public <br />Hearing and Town Planning Board Recommendation. <br />February 15, 2018 (rescheduled date) - Town of Hillsborough Public Hearing and <br />Town Planning Board Recommendation. <br />Date to be determined – Town Board of Commissioners Action <br />d. Notice Requirements <br />Consistent with NC State Statutes and Orange County requirements. <br />e. Outreach: <br /> General Public: Staff held a joint public information meeting with Town of <br />Hillsborough Planning staff on September 26, 2017. Notices <br />regarding the public information meeting and Planning Board <br />meetings were mailed to affected and adjacent (1,000-foot <br />boundary) property owners. Signs noticing the Planning <br />Board meeting were also posted in the area. <br /> 23
