He is interested in making sure the county 28 <br />moves forward in a nice, controlled manner rather than what he experienced up north. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Hunter Spitzer said he is a sophomore at UNC. He has lived in Hillsborough all his life, is interested in planning and 31 <br />wanted to get involved. 32 <br /> 33 AGENDA ITEM 2: INFORMATIONAL ITEMS 34 <br />a. a) Planning Calendar for December and January 35 <br />• January 10 – Planning Board Meeting 36 <br />• January 23 – BOCC public hearing on this matter 37 <br />• January 26 – BOCC retreat. Planning Board members are not required to attend. 38 <br /> 39 AGENDA ITEM 3: APPROVAL OF MINUTES 40 November 1, 2017 41 <br /> 42 MOTION by Paul Guthrie to approve the November 1, 2017, Regular Meeting Minutes. CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONS TO AGENDA 46 <br />No additions to the agenda. 47 <br /> 48 AGENDA ITEM 5: PUBLIC CHARGE 49 50 Introduction to the Public Charge 51 <br />The Board of County Commissioners, under the authority of North Carolina General Statute, 52 <br />appoints the Orange County Planning Board (OCPB) to uphold the written land development laws 53 <br />of the County. The general purpose of OCPB is to guide and accomplish coordinated and 54 <br />harmonious development.
