Article 5: Uses <br /> Section 5.4: Standards for Temporary Uses <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Orange County, North Carolina – Unified Development Ordinance Page 5-35 <br /> <br />(c) The proposed activity will occur no more frequently than seven days in a <br />30-day period, and on no more than 50 days per year. <br />(d) Signs shall be permitted in accordance with Section 6.12.11(D) of this <br />Ordinance. <br />(e) All parking shall be on-site. <br />(f) Noise levels at the boundary of the area included in the special Use <br />Permit shall not exceed 50 decibels between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and <br />7:00 p.m., or 45 decibels between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and midnight. <br />No Special Event shall begin before 7:00 a.m., or extend beyond <br />midnight. <br />(g) The site plan shall have the written approval of the Orange County <br />Division of Environmental Health regarding the adequacy of the water <br />supply and wastewater disposal for the specified maximum number of <br />participants for any single event and the written approval of the Orange <br />County Fire Marshal and Orange County Sheriff’s Department regarding <br />the adequacy of parking, access or other factors relating to public safety. <br />(h) The Special Use Permit shall be valid for no more than one year. <br />5.4.4 Temporary Use of a Residential Mobile Home Temporary Use of a Mobile Home or and/or <br />Temporary Residential Unit <br />(A) General Standards of Evaluation <br />Residential Mobile HomesA Mobile Home or Temporary Residential Unit may be <br />permitted as a temporary use during construction of a permanent single-family dwelling in <br />accordance with the following: <br />(1) The property owner shall reside in the Mobile Home or Temporary Residential <br />Unit during construction of a new residence or the renovation of an existing <br />residence on the same lot. <br />(2) Prior to placement of the temporary residential mobile homeunit on-site all <br />applicable state and local approvals and permits shall be procured, including but <br />not limited to a zoning compliance permit, building permits, and health <br />department approval. <br />(3) The Temporary Residential Unit temporary residential mobile home must be <br />removed within 90 30 days of receipt of the certificate of occupancy/compliance <br />for the on-site residence. <br />5.4.5 Buildings for Temporary Use <br />(A) Standards for Class B Special Use Permit <br />(1) Submittal Requirements – <br />In addition to the information required by Section 2.7, the following information <br />shall be supplied as part of the application for approval of this use: <br />(a) Site plan showing all existing and proposed structures on the site, <br />existing and proposed topography at a contour interval of five feet, <br />existing and proposed landscaping, parking areas, access points, any <br />officially designated flood plains, and other site details. <br />(b) A description of the exterior materials, color and construction details. <br />(c) Statement of proposed use and length of time building will be in use. <br />(2) Standards of Evaluation – <br />(a) The temporary building shall not be used for residential purposes. <br /> 46
