Allows for a wider range of housing types. <br />The goal is to revise existing development standards in an effort to encourage purposeful <br />growth and development within the County in a cost efficient manner while promoting varied <br />housing options. <br /> <br />The Comprehensive Plan text amendment involves modification of Appendix F to change <br />references to the Mobile Home Park Conditional Zoning (MHP-CZ) district to Home Park <br />Conditional Zoning (HP-CZ) district. <br /> <br />For more background information please refer to Attachment 1. Proposed text amendment <br />language for both the UDO and Comprehensive Plan changes can be found in Attachment 4 <br />within a “track changes” format. <br /> <br />Planning Director’s Recommendation: The Planning Director recommends approval of the <br />Statement of Consistency, indicating the amendments are reasonable and in the public interest, <br />contained in Attachment 3 and the proposed amendment package as contained in Attachment <br />4. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Consideration and approval will not create the need for additional funding <br />for the provision of County services. Existing staff, included in the Departmental staffing budget, <br />will accomplish the work required to process this amendment. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Planning Director recommends the Planning Board: <br />1. Review the proposed Comprehensive Plan and UDO text amendments, <br />2. Deliberate on the proposal as desired, <br />3. Consider the Planning Director’s recommendation, and <br />4. Make a recommendation to the BOCC on the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 3) <br />and the proposed amendments (Attachment 4) in time for the February 13, 2017 <br />Quarterly Public Hearing. <br /> <br /> <br /> 18
