Harvey, Planner III (919) 245-2597 <br />Craig Benedict, Director (919) 245-2592 <br /> <br /> <br />PURPOSE: To review and make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners <br />(BOCC) on Planning Director initiated amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance <br />(UDO) regarding subdivision regulations and review processes. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: In response to a BOCC petition, staff conducted a work session on February <br />18, 2016 to review current subdivision regulations and discuss opportunities for allowing for <br />more flexibility with respect to residential development. The primary focus was to develop <br />opportunities for greater flexibility for the clustering of proposed lots with the preservation of <br />additional open space.
