1 <br />SUMMARY NOTES 1 ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING BOARD 2 SEPTEMBER 9, 2016 3 <br />ORDINANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE 4 <br /> 5 <br />NOTE: A quorum is not required for Ordinance Review Committee meetings. 6 <br /> 7 MEMBERS PRESENT: Lydia Wegman (Chair), At-Large, Chapel Hill Township; Tony Blake (Vice-chair), Bingham Township 8 <br />Representative; 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 STAFF PRESENT: Craig Benedict, Planning Director; Michael Harvey, Current Planning Supervisor; Perdita Holtz; Planning 12 <br />Systems Coordinator; Ashley Moncado, Special Projects Planner; Patrick Mallett, Planner II, Rachel McCook, Planner I; Molly 13 <br />Boyle, Planning Technician; Meredith Pucci, Administrative Assistant II. 14 <br /> 15 <br /> 16 AGENDA ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL 17 <br /> 18 <br />Lydia Wegman called meeting to order. 19 20 <br /> 21 AGENDA ITEM 2: UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE (UDO) TEXT AMENDMENTS – TABLE OF PERMITTED USES 22 <br /> To review and comment upon proposed amendments to the Table of Permitted Uses that will clarify 23 <br />permitted and prohibited uses. 24 <br /> Presenter: Michael Harvey, Current Planning Supervisor 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mr. Harvey reviewed the abstract. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Lydia Wegman asked if there had been any issues so far. Michael Harvey answered that there haven’t been yet but there a 29 <br />few issues he can see happening soon. 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 AGENDA ITEM 2: UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE (UDO) TEXT AMENDMENTS – SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS 33 <br /> To review and comment upon proposed amendments to the UDO pertaining to subdivisions, particularly 34 <br />minor subdivisions. 35 Presenter: Patrick Mallett, Planner II; Rachel McCook, Planner I; Molly Boyle, Planning Technician 36 <br /> 37 <br />Patrick Mallett reviewed the abstract. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Allen Clapp presented 40 <br /> 41 <br />Lydia Wegman asked about what can be on top of these systems. Allen Clapp answered people can walk on them, just no 42 <br />vehicles. Patrick Mallett elaborate that there are fences or possibly hedgerows around them to prevent vehicles. Tony Blake 43 <br />asked how long the supply lines last. Allen Clapp informed him they last indefinitely unless they’re exposed to UV. Tony Blake 44 <br />inquired about putting some of these alternative systems into the commercial areas where there’s a growing issue with septic 45 <br />systems failing. Allen Clapp explained that they would be able to do that now with the new rules but Patrick Mallett explained 46 <br />there are some zoning and other issues making it difficult to get done. 47 <br /> 48 <br />Molly Boyle presented 49 <br /> 50 <br />Lydia Wegman asked if the cluster and flexible developments are going to be merged.
