5 <br /> <br /> <br />As previously indicated maps denoting the proposed zoning modifications are contained within <br />Attachment 4. <br /> <br />W e are moving forward with those properties where owners have indicated an interest. We are <br />still working to address questions from remaining owners who have not made a final decision. <br />W ork on these remaining properties will continue and staff will provide periodic updates as <br />necessary. <br /> <br />Planning Director’s Recommendation: The Planning Director recommends approval of the <br />Statement of Consistency, indicating the amendments are reasonable and in the public interest, <br />contained in Attachment 3 and proposed zoning atlas amendment package contained in <br />Attachment 4. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Consideration and approval will not create the need for additional funding <br />for the provision of County services. Costs for the required legal advertisement will be paid <br />from FY2016-17 Departmental funds budgeted for this purpose. As this project involves <br />modifying the Zoning Atlas staff will notify property owners within 1,000 feet of all subject <br />properties of the Planning Board and Public Hearing where the item is reviewed. Costs for the <br />mailings will be paid from FY 2016-17 Department funds budgeted for this purpose. Existing <br />Planning staff included in the Departmental staffing budget will accomplish the work required to <br />process these amendments. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Planning Director recommends the Planning Board: <br />1. Review the proposed Zoning Atlas amendments, <br />2. Deliberate on the petition as desired, <br />3. Consider the Planning Director’s recommendation, and <br />4. Make a recommendation to the BOCC on the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 3) <br />and proposed ordinance (Attachment 4) for the 17 atlas amendments in time for the <br />November 21, 2016 Quarterly Public Hearing. <br /> <br /> 14 19
