Mutual representation on <br />task forces (OC SART and the Domestic Violence Task Force). <br /> Department of Social Services: We regularly refer families of students who raise concerns during <br />classroom programs to the Child Protective Services division of DSS for follow-up services and <br />intervention if needed. <br /> YMCA of the Triangle: We partner with the Y for the delivery of the evidence-based Stewards of <br />Children® child sexual abuse prevention training for parents and professionals. The OCRCC facilitates <br />dozens of trainings each year with support (i.e., coordination and materials) from the Y of the Triangle’s <br />tri-county prevention initiative. <br /> United Way and the Making Connections Collaborative: The OCRCC is a participant in the UW- <br />sponsored collective impact collaborative, Making Connections. Members of the collaborative include <br />the Childcare Services Association, Orange County Partnership for Young Children, KidScope, <br />Freedom House Recovery Center, Compass Center for Women & Families, Orange Literacy, and <br />Orange County Head Start/Early Head Start. Our role is to provide educational training for low- <br />income/disabled parents of children enrolled in local Head Start/Early Head Start programs. <br /> Orange County Head Start/Early Head Start: The OCRCC provides specialized bilingual multi- <br />session educational programming to students enrolled in the Head Start/Early Head Start program <br />and their parents to create multiple circles of protection from sexual abuse. The OCS Head Start/ Early <br />Head Start program provides coordination support and family outreach to encourage participation in <br />program offerings. <br /> CHCCS Head Start/Early Head Start: The OCRCC provides educational programming to students <br />enrolled in the Head Start/Early Head Start program and their parents to create multiple circles of <br />protection from sexual abuse. The CHCCS Head Start/ Early Head Start program provides <br />coordination support and family outreach to encourage participation in program offerings. <br /> Orange County Partnership for Young Children / Smart Start : Funded by Smart Start, our Safe <br />Families Child Sexual Abuse Prevention initiative focuses on providing evidence-based training to <br />childcare professionals in Orange County as well as low-income/disabled parents of children enrolled <br />in local Head Start/Early Head Start programs. <br /> Boomerang, Inc.: The OCRCC provides bi-weekly educational programming to students enrolled <br />in the Boomerang alternatives-to-suspension program focused on empowerment, leadership <br />development, and healthy relationships. <br /> UNC-Chapel Hill: The OCRCC provides advanced sexual violence prevention programming to <br />students, faculty, and staff at UNC. We focus on students working with children, students pursuing <br />degrees in human services fields, students engaged in Greek life, and staff/faculty with sexual violence <br />response and prevention responsibilities. <br /> The OCRCC also offers programming by request to a number of independent schools, community <br />groups, professional organizations, faith communities, and others. <br /> <br /> <br />
