15 <br /> <br />Commissioner Burroughs said email is helpful. She said some boards send the <br />agenda in advance and perhaps if all Commissioners could receive the agenda, review it, and <br />note any items of particular interest. <br />Commissioner Price said all internal boards have agendas and minutes posted on line. <br />Donna Baker suggested that the serving Commissioner could share agendas from <br />inter-governmental boards with the rest of the Board. <br />Commissioner Jacobs said it may be useful to have a place on the BOCC regular <br />agenda for the Board to give him direction, as relates to the GoTriangle Board. He said the <br />GoTriangle board recently discussed a LEAD Certified Rail Operations Maintenance Facility, <br />and he, and several other board members, felt that a LEAD certification is a waste of money. <br />He said there is a lot of chest expanding at GoTriangle about the importance and beauty of <br />what is being done, which does not add anything but make people feel more important. He <br />said it costs money. He said he would welcome the direction of the BOCC on how to proceed <br />at GoTriangle meetings, with these types of issues. He said he is often a lone voice with a <br />discouraging word for GoTriangle, and it would be nice to have the power and support of the <br />Board behind his statements. <br />Commissioner Rich said getting the notes from liaisons in the first place is very <br />important for them all. <br />Chair Dorosin said if there is an upcoming meeting, for any board, which a <br />Commissioner anticipates being significant, and would like direction or feedback from the <br />Board, that item can be added for discussion to the end of a meeting. <br />Chair Dorosin said sending emails, containing highlights and questions, may be the <br />best way to proceed for now. <br />Commissioner Jacobs said Commissioners could send the minutes of the Board on <br />which they serve. <br />Commissioner Marcoplos suggested highlighting any important issues contained in any <br />minutes that are sent. <br />Commissioner Burroughs encouraged the school collaboration minutes to be sent out <br />to the full board. <br />Commissioner Marcoplos suggested that the process of choosing the boards and <br />commissions be done earlier than February. <br />Chair Dorosin said the process will take place in December going forward. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:54 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mark Dorosin, Chair <br /> <br /> <br />Donna Baker <br />Clerk to the Board <br />
