HEnv Project #201603 <br />March 1, 2016 <br />10 <br />• General Electric Co., Mebane Operation, State Route 1374 – This property is <br />located approximately 2,200 south-southwest and downgradient of the site. <br />Based on the distance from the site, this HSDS listing does not represent a REC <br />of the site. <br /> <br />State and Tribal Hazardous Waste Sites (SHWS) <br />Locations of uncontrolled and unregulated hazardous waste sites. <br /> <br />The site is not listed on the SHWS. There is one property on the SHWS database within <br />one mile of the site: <br /> <br />• Pak-Lite, 6508 East Washington Street – This property is located <br />approximately 1,000-feet south-southeast and slightly upgradient of the site. <br />Based on the distance from the subject site, this incident does not represent a <br />REC of the site. <br /> <br />State and Tribal Landfill and/or Solid Waste Disposal Sites: <br /> <br /> Solid Waste Facilities/Landfills (SWL/LF) <br />SWF/LF type records typically contain an inventory of solid waste disposal facilities <br />or landfills in a particular state. Depending on the state, these may be active or <br />inactive facilities or open dumps that failed to meet RCRA Subtitle D Section 4004 <br />criteria for solid waste landfills or disposal sites. <br /> <br /> Old Landfill Inventory (OLI) <br />Old landfill inventory location information. Does not include no further action sites <br />and other agency lead sites). <br /> <br />The site is not listed as a solid waste disposal site. No properties are listed on the <br />SWL/LF databases within 0.5 mile of the site. <br /> <br />State and Tribal Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) database <br />This database contains information obtained from the NCDEQ. It provides an <br />explanation of current and historic activity for individual sites, as well as what was <br />previously found in the Incident Management Database. There are two incidents associated with this <br />facility: <br /> <br />Incident 20432 <br />Mace Grading Company, Inc. installed one 7,500-gallon diesel UST in 1975 and <br />an 8,000-gallon diesel UST in 1985. The UST basin was located approximately <br />375 feet southeast and cross-gradient of the site. According to the “UST Closure <br />Report” prepared by Omega Services, Inc. on January 1, 1999, petroleum <br />contaminated soil was encountered during UST removal. Free product was not <br />observed during removal, and the approximate depth to groundwater was <br /> 57
