29 <br /> GOAL 8: Continue to provide staffing at a high level <br />and quality of service for the County with a <br />commitment to excellence to meet the need for 1) <br />planning, administering, managing, leveraging and <br />providing oversight of federal, state, private and local <br />funded programs and projects and 2) increasing <br />cooperation and collaboration among public, private <br />and municipal partners and communities in addressing <br />affordable housing preservation and development <br />needs of the region that ultimately affect the quality of <br />life for all residents. <br /> <br />Strategies Action/Recommendation <br />8.1: Provide program management and oversight for the <br />successful administration and leveraging of federal, state, <br />private and local funded programs and projects; for support <br />of collaborative initiatives, community engagement; for <br />support of various Advisory Boards and Authorities and for <br />research and planning services, special studies and meeting <br />various environmental, fair housing, and other compliance <br />requirements with all federal, state, and local laws and <br />regulations. <br />AR25: Provide leadership and or support to <br />staff and the community as needed to <br />implement the strategies and <br />recommendations of this Strategic Plan and <br />related County Plans and activities with the <br />guidance and approval of the County <br />Manager and BOCC as needed and required <br />and with broad community involvement <br />including the County’s many stakeholders. <br /> <br />AR26: 1) Continue to strengthen internal <br />management of funded programs and <br />projects including policies and procedures, <br />best practices, learning, training and <br />information sharing, reporting and intra and <br />interagency practices and coordination by <br />the Department. This includes listening to, <br />seeking to understand, continuous <br />engagement and responsiveness to our <br />many customers and or partners. <br /> <br />2) Strive to ensure maximum leveraging of <br />resources, funding and programs to meet <br />the current and future affordable housing <br />needs of County residents. <br /> <br />AR27: Monitor, track and report activities <br />and results of this Strategic Plan to the <br />BOCC by the Department of Housing, <br />Human Rights and Community Development <br />in cooperation and collaboration with other <br />County Agencies, municipal partners and the <br />community. <br /> 144
