Agricultural Support Enterprises, both within the Rural Buffer and in the <br />remainder of County planning jurisdiction, and various accompanying <br />changes to the text. <br />• UDO text amendment to change standards related to home occupations <br />which liberalized the ability to have home businesses. <br />• Pleasant Green Woods Phase IV major subdivision concept plan and <br />preliminary plat. <br />• Triple Crown Farms major subdivision preliminary plat. <br />• Stroud’s Creek major subdivision concept plan and preliminary plat. <br />• Class A SUP for a solar facility in Cheeks Township. <br /> <br />More recently: <br />• UDO text amendments for revisions to the public hearing process to <br />enhance public input opportunities, streamline when possible, and <br />improve legal integrity. <br />• UDO, Comprehensive Plan & Zoning Atlas Amendments to adopt two <br />new zoning overlay districts in Efland that recognize community <br />character and add flexibility to target development. <br />• In 2015, two property-owner initiated applications for non-residential <br />rezonings were processed. The Planning Board reviewed these and <br />issued a recommendation to the BOCC on each application. <br />• UDO text amendments related to temporary health care structures. <br />• Henderson Woods major subdivision concept plan and preliminary plat. <br />• UDO text amendments related to impervious surface matters. <br />• Class A SUPs for a solar facility in Bingham Township and for Emerson <br />Waldorf School. <br />• UDO text amendments related to recreational land uses. <br /> <br />List of Specific Tasks, Events, or Functions Performed or Sponsored Annually. <br />• Monthly Planning Board meetings <br />• Quarterly Public Hearings (4) <br />• Ordinance Review Committee (ORC) meetings and special meetings as <br />required <br />• Review applications for ordinance amendments, major subdivisions, <br />and Class A special use permits and provide recommendations to the <br />BOCC <br />• Develop and recommend policies, ordinances, administrative <br />procedures and other means for carrying out plans <br />• Coordinate with staff on ongoing planning updates, changes, and new <br />techniques <br /> <br />Describe this board/commission’s activities/accomplishments in carrying out <br />BOCC goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. <br />The Planning Board is involved in the ongoing implementation of the 2030 <br />Comprehensive Plan.
