Staff transmitted the proposed <br />amendment to the Towns of Chapel <br />Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough for <br />courtesy review on October 21, 2015. <br /> <br />As of this date staff has not received <br />any comment. <br /> <br />Staff and the Attorney have also met <br />with the Sheriff’s Office to discuss the <br />proposal. The Sheriff did not express <br />concerns over the establishment of <br />land use regulations. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />d. Notice Requirements <br />Legal advertisement was published on November 11 and 18, 2015 in accordance <br />with the provisions of the UDO. <br />e. Outreach: <br /> <br /> <br />3. FISCAL IMPACT <br />Consideration and approval will not create the need for additional funding for the <br />provision of County services. Costs for the required legal advertisement will be paid <br />from FY2015-16 Departmental funds budgeted for this purpose. Existing Planning <br />staff included in the Departmental staffing budget will accomplish the work required <br />to process this amendment. <br /> <br /> <br />D. AMENDMENT IMPLICATIONS <br /> <br />The amendment will establish comprehensive regulations governing the development <br />and operation of sexually oriented businesses consistent with applicable State and <br />Federal law. <br /> <br />E.
