9 <br /> <br /> <br />The Orange County Sheriff’s office <br />was sent the proposed text <br />amendment on July 10, 2015. <br /> <br />As of this date staff has not received <br />any comments on the proposed <br />amendments from the Sheriff or our <br />planning partners. <br /> <br /> <br />d. FISCAL IMPACT <br />Consideration and approval will not create the need for additional funding for the <br />provision of County services. Costs for the required legal advertisement will be paid <br />from FY2015-16 Departmental funds budgeted for this purpose. Existing Planning <br />staff included in the Departmental staffing budget will accomplish the work required <br />to process this amendment. <br /> <br /> <br />D. AMENDMENT IMPLICATIONS <br /> <br />The amendment will revise existing, outdated, regulations governing the categorization <br />and development of recreational land uses and proposes the adoption of new <br />development standards. <br /> <br />E. SPECIFIC AMENDMENT LANGUAGE <br /> <br /> General Public: Consistent with NC State General Statutes and Orange <br />County Ordinance requirements. <br />At the September 8, 2015 Quarterly Public Hearing the <br />BOCC requested staff invite individuals who previously <br />submitted concerns related to the discharge of firearms to <br />the October 7, 2015 Planning Board meeting. <br />Notices were sent on September 29, 2015 with a copy of the <br />proposed regulations for review at the October Planning <br />Board meeting. <br /> Small Area Plan Workgroup: <br /> Other: <br /> 24
