Amendment Package to Revise the Existing Public Hearing Process <br />Notes <br />The pages that follow contain the amendments necessary to the Unified Development <br />Ordinance (UDO) text to revise the existing public hearing process for Comprehensive Plan- <br />and Unified Development Ordinance-related hearing items. This proposal would revise the <br />existing cadence and have the Planning Board make its recommendation before the public <br />hearing. See Section B of the Amendment Outline Form (Attachment 1 of agenda item <br />materials) for a more detailed analysis of the proposed revisions. <br /> <br />Additions/changes proposed as part of the September 8, 2015 quarterly public hearing materials <br />are depicted in red. Revisions made after the public hearing are shown in orange text. Some of <br />the proposed changes utilize footnotes to provide a brief explanation as to rationale. Users are <br />reminded that these excerpts are part of a much larger document (the UDO) that regulates land <br />use and development in Orange County. The text is shown only because in the full UDO it <br />is on the same page as text proposed for amendment.
