Specifically the applicant wishes to rezone <br />the property: <br />FROM: Economic Development Eno Lower Intensity (EDE-1), Economic <br />Development Eno Higher Intensity (EDE-2), Lower Eno Protected <br />Watershed Protection Overlay District, and Major Transportation Corridor <br />(MTC) Overlay District <br />TO: Economic Development Eno Higher Intensity (EDE-2), Lower Eno <br />Protected Watershed Protection Overlay District, and Major Transportation <br />Corridor (MTC) Overlay District <br />BACKGROUND: This item was presented at the September 8, 2015 Quarterly Public Hearing <br />where staff indicated approximately 2.1 acres of the property is zoned EDE-2 and 7.7 acres is <br />zoned EDE-1. The portion of property zoned EDE-2 is currently developed and used to support <br />a glass manufacturing and installation business, specifically Jacobs Glass, and the property <br />owner has requested the rezoning to allow for a potential expansion of the existing operation. <br /> <br />Materials from the September 8, 2015 Quarterly Public Hearing can be viewed at: <br />http://www.orangecountync.gov/document_center/BOCCAgendaMinutes/150908.pdf. <br /> <br />During the public hearing the following questions/comments were made: <br /> <br />1.
