February 24, 2014 quarterly public hearing <br />March 4, 2015 – review of changes suggested by the Towns of Carrboro and <br />Chapel Hill and recommendation on revised amendments <br />b. Advisory Boards: <br />Agricultural Preservation Board (APB) <br />reviewed and discussed the entire <br />ASE program at its October 16, <br />November 20, 2013, and January 15, <br />2014 meetings <br /> The consensus of the APB is that <br />the Board is supportive of moving <br />forward with the proposed ASE <br />program and would like farmers to <br />have the ability to apply for as many <br />types of agriculturally-related uses <br />as possible. The Board agrees that <br />removing the most intensive uses in <br />the ASE-CZ zoning district from <br />consideration in the Rural Buffer is <br />likely the most feasible way to <br />proceed. <br /> <br />c. Local Government Review: <br />November 21, 2013 Assembly of <br />Governments (AOG) Meeting to <br />Present to Elected Officials <br /> August 13, 2013 - Planning staff <br />informally notified Chapel Hill and <br />Carrboro Planning Directors of work <br />in progress and anticipated AOG <br />item <br />Proposed amendment package <br />formally sent to JPA partners on <br />January 17, 2014. <br /> December 5, 2013 - Planning staff <br />notified Chapel Hill and Carrboro <br />Planning Directors of the need for a <br />joint planning public hearing on <br />March 27, 2014 to consider text <br />amendments to the JPA plan and <br />agreement to allow ASE uses in the <br />Rural Buffer <br />Town of Carrboro reviewed JPA <br />amendments along with UDO <br />amendments at meetings on: <br />June 3, 2014 <br />June 17, 2014 <br />September 9, 2014 <br />October 7, 2014 <br />October 14, 2014 <br />January 13, 2015 (not discussed due <br />to time constraints) <br />January 27, 2015 <br /> Town of Chapel Hill reviewed JPA <br />amendments along with UDO <br />amendments as ancillary discussion <br />at meetings on: <br />June 9, 2014 <br />November 10, 2014 <br />January 26, 2015 (no discussion, <br />consent item to continue <br />public hearing) <br />February 23, 2015 (no discussion, <br />consent item to continue <br />public hearing) <br />March 9, 2015 <br />October 16, 2014 – discussion item at <br />joint Orange County/Town of Carrboro <br />meeting <br /> November 19, 2014 – discussion <br />item at AOG meeting <br />6 <br /> <br />16
