A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE TOWN MANAGER TO BEGIN LONG-TERM <br />PLANNING FOR THE ROGERS ROAD NEIGHBORHOOD (2014-10-15/R-4) <br />WHEREAS, the Town Council understands that the installation of utilities in the Historic Rogers <br />Road neighborhood will likely have an effect on development patterns and pressures; and <br />WHEREAS, the Town Council believes systematic planning in the Historic Rogers Road <br />neighborhood is critical to preserving the character of the existing neighborhood and being <br />proactive in managing the area’s future. <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council directs the Town Manager to continue and expand efforts <br />for developing a long-term plan for the area; and <br />NOW BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council directs the Manager and staff to engage <br />the Rogers Eubanks Neighborhood Association, the Town of Carrboro, and Orange County in <br />developing a long-term plan. <br />This the 15th day of October, 2014. <br /> <br />12
