Staff of the Department of <br />Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation (DEAPR) are the lead County staff members on <br />this project. At the June 3 meeting, the BOCC referred the draft plan to a number of advisory <br />boards for review and comment, with comments due by August 31. The Planning Board is one <br />of the advisory boards to which the draft plan was referred. <br /> <br />Additional information regarding the draft plan is available as part of the June 3 BOCC meeting <br />materials available at: http://orangecountync.gov/occlerks/140603.pdf. Planning Board <br />members are encouraged to review the materials prior to Planning Board meeting to become <br />familiar with the background information provided. <br /> <br />Ardra Webster of DEAPR will attend the Planning Board meeting to present the highlights of the <br />draft master plan and answer any questions. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact in reviewing the draft Parks & Recreation <br />Master Plan and providing comments. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Director recommends the Planning Board review the draft <br />Park & Recreation Master Plan and provide any comments by the August 31, 2014 deadline. <br /> <br />9
