6—14 <br />Orange County Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan <br /> CHAPTER 6 - Community Needs Assessment and Public Input 6 <br />8. SportsPlex and County Parks and Recreation <br />(April 18, 2013) <br />This meeting was held with John Stock, managing <br />partner of RP, Incorporated, the managing entity for <br />the Triangle SportsPlex, an indoor recreation facility <br />located in Hillsborough, and staff. <br /> <br />This group discussed both the Sportsplex and <br />County current and future program and capital <br />improvement plans. All parties agreed that there <br />was a shared interest and ongoing opportunity to <br />offer programs and facilities that were complemen- <br />tary of each other. For instance SportsPlex offers pre <br />-school and afterschool programs and Parks and <br />Recreation does not. The County and SportsPlex <br /> <br />management agreed to meet periodically and keep <br />each other abreast of any planned changes in <br />programs and facilities and look for opportunities to <br />continue to work together in tandem to provide <br />service to county residents. <br />See appendix 6-9 for Endnotes <br />78
