<br />Attachment 3 contains a staff report on the proposed text amendment’s review history, including <br />the Board’s motion from the February 18 BOCC meeting, and site plan examples depicting <br />existing and proposed setback standards. Additionally, pages 5-7 include a response from <br />planning staff addressing comments received at the February 18 BOCC meeting. <br /> <br />Attachment 1 contains additional information and analysis regarding this amendment. Proposed <br />text amendment language can be found in Attachment 2 within a “track changes” format (red <br />text for proposed additions and black strikethrough for proposed deletions). Modifications made <br />following the November Quarterly Public Hearing and December Planning Board meeting are <br />denoted in green text. No revisions have been made to the proposed amendment since it was <br />recommended for approval at the January 8 Planning Board meeting. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Consideration and approval will not create the need for additional funding <br />for the provision of County services. Costs for the required legal advertisement will be paid from <br />FY2013-14 Departmental funds budgeted for this purpose. Existing planning staff included in the <br />Departmental staffing budget will accomplish the work required to process this amendment. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Director recommends the Planning Board: <br />1. Receive the Home Occupations Report and Site Plan Examples in Attachment 3, <br />2. Review and deliberate as necessary on the proposed text amendment in Attachment 2, <br />3. Consider the Planning Director’s recommendation to approve the text amendment as <br />detailed in Attachment 2; and, <br />4. Make a recommendation to the BOCC on the proposed amendment in time for the <br />May 8, 2014 BOCC meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />132
