zoning overlay districts in Efland (denied by BOCC in Feb. 2013, to be <br />reconsidered in early 2014). <br />• Annandale at Creekwood major subdivision preliminary plat. <br />• Triple Crown Farms major subdivision concept plan. <br />• UDO text amendment to require a neighborhood information meeting for <br />governmental uses. <br />• UDO text amendment to change standards related to home occupations. <br />• UDO text amendment to establish a new conditional zoning district for <br />Agricultural Support Enterprises and various accompanying changes to the <br />text. <br />• Hillsborough/Orange County Central Orange Coordinated Area – Joint Land <br />Use Plan <br />• In 2013, three property-owner initiated applications for rezonings were <br />processed. The Planning Board reviewed all of these and issued a <br />recommendation to the BOCC on each application. <br /> <br />List of Specific Tasks, Events, or Functions Performed or Sponsored Annually. <br /> <br />• Monthly Planning Board meetings <br />• Quarterly Public Hearings (4) <br />• Ordinance Review Committee (ORC) meetings and special meetings <br />as required <br />• Review applications for ordinance amendments, major subdivisions, <br />and Class A special use permits and provide recommendations to <br />the BOCC <br />• Develop and recommend policies, ordinances, administrative <br />procedures and other means for carrying out plans <br /> <br />Describe this board/commission’s activities/accomplishments in carrying out BOCC <br />goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. The Planning Board is involved in the ongoing <br />implementation of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. Potential projects listed in the <br />“Implementation Bridge,” such as updates to home occupation standards, <br />continue to be work on as do small area plan implementation measures, such as <br />the Eno EDD Access Management Plan and the Efland zoning overlay districts. <br /> <br />Work completed in past years, including UDO text updates and zoning atlas <br />amendments, contributed greatly to the 2013 announcement that the Morinaga <br />Company would located its new manufacturing facility in the Buckhorn-Mebane <br />area. <br /> <br />If your board/commission played the role of an Element Lead Advisory Board involved <br />in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan preparation process, please indicate your board’s <br />activities/accomplishments as they may relate to the Comprehensive Plan’s goals or <br />objectives. <br />(The Element Lead Advisory Boards include: Planning Board, EDC, OUTBoard, <br />Commission for the Environment, Historic Preservation Commission, Agriculture <br />Preservation Board, Affordable Housing Board, Recreation and Parks Advisory Council) <br /> <br />The processing of small area plan recommendations specifically addresses an <br />objective included in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan.
