Economic development projects in other appropriate <br />areas should have a similar approval process. <br />Significant amendments pertaining economic development were <br />adopted on February 7, 2012. Staff recommends waiting to re-evaluate <br />the process until after a project has been processed under the revised <br />regulations. Changes to the existing quarterly public hearing process are <br />scheduled to be brought forward at the Feb. 2014 QPH. <br />8. <br />Economic development approval processes and standards should <br />be revised by local business and planning professionals in <br />conjunction with UNC’s Planning, Business and Law Schools. <br />Significant amendments pertaining economic development were <br />adopted on February 7, 2012.
