The County maintains <br />electronic notification lists, which includes the ability to be notified when <br />BOCC agendas are posted to the County website. <br />page 14 <br />Reconsider public notification requirements for differences <br />between rural versus suburban locations (in terms of distance for <br />notice requirements). <br />Staff recommends that notification requirements remain as written as <br />rural rezonings do not have a greater area of immediate impact when <br />compared to suburban/urban rezonings. The County's notification <br />procedures comply with State statutes and include sign posting(s) and <br />newspaper advertisements in addition to mailed letters to property <br />owners within 500 feet of a parcel proposed for rezoning. <br />page 14 Consider new ideas for public notification. <br />Rather than adding new requirements to the UDO, staff would <br />recommend that any new ideas become a policy instead of part of an <br />ordinance.
