Proposed Amendments Planning Board – September 4, 2013 <br /> <br />Attachment 2 <br />Revised Standards <br /> Existing Language Proposed Language <br />Minor Home Occupations <br />(Staff Approval) <br />Major Home Occupations <br />(Class B SUP) <br /> The owner or operator of the <br />home occupation must live in a <br />residence located on the same <br />zoning lot as the home <br />occupation. No more than two <br />individuals not living in the <br />residence may work in the home <br />occupation. <br />The owner or operator of the home occupation <br />must live in a residence located on the same <br />zoning lot as the home occupation. No more <br />than four permanent employees not living in the <br />residence may work in the home occupation. <br />Additionally, one temporary employee not living <br />in the residence may work in the home <br />occupation up to a one year period. <br />The owner or operator of the home <br />occupation must live in a residence located <br />on the same zoning lot as the home <br />occupation. Based on the approved Special <br />Use Permit, up to ten individuals not living in <br />the residence may work in the home <br />occupation. <br />In all residential districts except <br />RB, AR and R-1, no more than 35% <br />of the floor area of the dwelling <br />unit or 500 square feet, whichever <br />is less, may be used for the home <br />occupation. <br />In all residential districts except RB, AR and R-1, <br />no more than 35% of the floor area of the <br />dwelling unit or 750 square feet, whichever is <br />less, may be used for the home occupation. <br />The total amount of allowable square footage <br />of dwelling units in conjunction with major <br />home occupations exceeding permitted <br />square footage allowances referenced in <br />Section 5.5.3.A.2.(e).(i).c, Minor Home <br />Occupations, shall be determined with an <br />approved Special Use Permit. <br /> Traffic generated by visitors, <br />customers, or deliveries shall not <br />exceed more than two business <br />trips per hour, more than eight <br />trips per day, or more than two <br />deliveries of products or materials <br />per week. <br />Traffic generated by visitors, customers, or <br />deliveries shall not exceed more than two <br />business trips per hour or more than eight trips <br />per day.
