CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Tom Brown: Let the record show we do have a quorum. Mr. Micol, as alternate, will be voting in place of Ms. Brezina. The <br />Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial administrative body governed by North Carolina General Statute and the Zoning <br />Ordinance of Orange County. Everyone who plans to speak during the proceedings tonight, including applicants and <br />interested citizens, will be called forward for swearing in. Swearing in is required for everyone speaking before the board. <br /> <br />2. CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br /> <br />Tom Brown: Does anyone have any additions to the agenda. Hearing none, we will proceed. <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> a. March 14, 2011 <br /> <br />Tom Brown: On page 11, line 8 should read, “I originally got them”. On page 16, line 15 should read, “If you recall, we were <br />talking about Fire Marshal approval of any site altered access to the property”. On page 18, line 11 should read, “The <br />USEPAP I am referring to…”. <br /> <br />David Blankfard: On page 30, line 11 should be attributed to me. On page 31, line 16 should read, “The graphic here made it <br />look like…”. On page 30, line 18 should read, “The graphic you were referring…”. On page 41, line 30 should read, “I think <br />the finishes are the same; the roof type is the same construction”. <br /> <br />Tom Brown: On page 41, line 13 should read, “So that would include any site alterations?” <br /> <br />MOTION: Larry Wright moved to approve the March 14, 2011 minutes with the noted corrections. Seconded by Mark Micol. <br />VOTE: Unanimous <br /> <br /> <br /> 4. PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment pledges to the citizens of Orange County its respect. The Board asks its citizens to conduct <br />themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both with the Board and with fellow citizens. At any time should any member of <br />the Board or any citizen fail to observe this public charge, the Chair will ask the offending person to leave the meeting until <br />that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until such time <br />that a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed. All electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, and <br />computers should please be turned off or set to silent/vibrate.
