PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment pledges to the citizens of Orange County its respect. The Board asks its citizens to conduct <br />themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both with the Board and with fellow citizens. At any time should any <br />member of the Board or any citizen fail to observe this public charge, the Chair will ask the offending person to leave the <br />meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to be restored, the Chair will recess the <br />meeting until such time that a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed. All electronic devices such as cell <br />phones, pagers, and computers should please be turned off or set to silent/vibrate. <br /> <br />5. A-3-10 – Appeal of a decision made by the Zoning Officer submitted by Maple View <br />Agricultural Center LLC <br />In accordance with the provisions of the Orange County Zoning Ordinance, the applicant has appealed the decision of <br />the Zoning Officer finding that there has been a modification and expansion of uses at the Maple View Agricultural <br />Center at 3111 Dairyland Road (TMBL 6.13..10D / PIN 9851-50-8691). <br />On April 14, 2008 the Orange County Board of Adjustment approved a Class B Special Use Permit application allowing <br />for the development of a Camp/Retreat Center on the property. The permit allowed for the development of a facility <br />providing educational seminars and classes focusing on farming activities and practices. <br />Within a letter, dated June 22, 2010, the Zoning Officer issued a finding that the facility had been expanded to allow for <br />land uses that were inconsistent with the approved Special Use Permit in violation of the Orange County Zoning <br />Ordinance. <br />The applicant is appealing the determination that the use of the center has been expanded in violation of the Ordinance <br />and that there are uses operating on the property in contradiction of the previously approved Special Use Permit. <br /> <br /> <br />The following individuals were sworn in: <br />Mike Parker, Applicant’s Attorney Nancy Oglesby <br />Marilee McTigue Meredith Berry <br />Susan Walser Judy Mitchell <br />Bill Waddell W.
